We are committed to driving out acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from within our business through to our supply chains. We currently have a number of policies within our employee handbook to support this, which are available to our people at all times..

These policies include, but are not limited to:

  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption
  • IT security
  • External Relationships
  • Ethical Business Conduct
  • Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Health and safety
  • Confidential reporting (whistle blowing)
  • Grievance resolution
  • Immigration

Our supply chains

Our supply chains consist of global suppliers of telecommunications networks, services and equipment, office supplies etc.  Our supply chain supports both the delivery of our services to our clients and our day-to-day business operations.

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

Due to the nature of our business and our corporate governance, we believe there is a low risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.  We also feel any risk of modern slavery or human trafficking would sit predominantly in our supply chain. As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk in our business we are taking proactive measures to understand our suppliers and have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier adherence to our values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply we are developing a due diligence process in order to determine the measures taken by our suppliers in order to combat slavery and human trafficking in their own business and in their own supply chain.

We have a dedicated compliance team, which consists of representatives from the following departments:

  • Human resources.
  • Finance

Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking

Over the next 12 months our representatives from Legal, Compliance, HR and Finance will look at how we can improve the way in which we address modern slavery to ensure that we are adopting the correct strategy in combating slavery and human trafficking.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and has been approved by the Board of Directors. A new statement will be published each financial year on our corporate website (www.aflex.com)
